About FlickerPic

FlickerPic is a free daily image guessing game inspired by games like Wordle. Every day at 05:00 UTC, a new AI-generated image is revealed — hidden behind a painterly filter that makes it look like an impressionist masterpiece.

Your challenge: figure out the famous person, place, or thing depicted in the image. The first hint is shown for free. Each turn you can make a guess or tap Hint › to reveal the next clue — wrong guesses also advance the hints automatically. You get 5 hints total. Can you solve it before they run out?

FAQ

When does a new puzzle come out?

A new puzzle is released every day at 05:00 UTC.

How many guesses do I get?

You get 5 hints in total. The first is shown for free. Each turn you can make a guess or tap Hint › to reveal the next clue without guessing. Wrong guesses also advance the hints automatically and bring the image into sharper focus. Any letters you placed in the right position glow yellow. A bonus letter is also revealed — but only if your guess didn't uncover a new correct position and the answer isn't nearly complete. You can make up to 5 wrong guesses — guess correctly at any point to win!

Is there a time limit?

No! A timer tracks your elapsed time for fun, but there's no deadline. Take as long as you need.

Do I need an account?

Nope — FlickerPic is instant-play with no login required. Your stats and progress are saved locally in your browser.

How are the images generated?

Each image is created by AI (DALL-E 3) based on a subject chosen by ChatGPT. The subjects are culturally recognisable concepts — famous landmarks, historical archetypes, iconic objects, and more.

Can I share my results?

Yes! After finishing a puzzle, tap the Share button to copy a spoiler-free emoji grid to your clipboard — perfect for sharing on social media.
